Vladimir is Professor of Ecology of Animals at the University of Montenegro in Podgorica. His research group works on freshwater ecology with a particular emphasis on spring habitats and underground water. He is also interested in taxonomy of mites (Acari), and thus far he has described more than 300 species new for science from almost all parts of the world.
