Victoria Nistreanu is a coordinator and scientific researcher at the Institute of Zoology of Moldova. She is very familiar with the indigenous terrestrial vertebrate fauna of Moldova, and has good experience of mammalian biology, ecology, biodiversity conservation, invasive mammal species, and adaptation to anthropogenic and climatic changes. She has participated in several projects related to the monitoring of wild fauna, including rare, vulnerable and endangered species (Red Book of Moldova) and is an expert on mammals for the Emerald Network of the Bern Convention. She closely collaborates with the Biodiversity Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, with colleagues from universities with environmental NGOs.
