Lisette is an ecologist and conservation biologist working as a Research & Technology Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). She has a degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Ecology and completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield, focusing on macroecology and the performance of protected areas for biodiversity. Her main research interests are the determinants of the distribution and occupancy of different levels of biodiversity, the factors that cause these distributions to change, and the performance of conservation instruments, such as protected areas and agri-environment schemes. She is also interested in the development and application of new monitoring methods to acquire high-quality biodiversity data. She currently coordinates the implementation of a national monitoring programme of wild pollinators in Luxembourg.
