Leonardo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Wildlife Research Unit at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Naples and has been the Coordinator of the Italian Bat Research Group (GIRC) since 2017. His main research activity mainly focuses on behavioural ecology and conservation biology, using bats as a model group. His research aims to understand how bats respond to human-induced habitat alterations at various scales and in different ecological contexts, with projects ranging from urban ecology to forestry. He integrates methodological approaches that span from behavioural experiments to bioacoustics and modelling.
